CITY OF SAN DIEGO RETIREE HEALTH OPEN ENROLLMENT - PLAN YEAR 2020-2021
Health Open Enrollment for 2020-2021 will be from June 1 to June 30, 2020.
Booklets containing rates and additional information were mailed on May 29th. You can download an electronic copy and the comparison chart at the bottom of this page. The health providers are the same as last year* – so if you are NOT changing your health plan, you do not have to take any action.
*The one exception to this is for those who are currently enrolled in the United Concordia dental plan - you will automatically be enrolled into the Delta Dental plan, which is replacing United Concordia, effective August 1st unless you submit a disenrollment form.
New for 2020: SDPEBA (San Diego Public Employee Benefit Association) is offering a new non-Medicare plan through Sharp. Please see the City retiree health booklet below for details.
The City Retiree Health Open Enrollment Kick-Off and Help Day Events were cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Instead, the plan providers recorded video presentations, which you can watch here.
