Log Files

SDCERS logs Internet Provider (IP) addresses and user browser types for statistical and systems administration purposes only. These logs are analyzed to determine user interest in the various areas of our site, to identify system performance or problem areas, and to improve the value of the materials available on the web site. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user’s session will be tracked, but the user will be anonymous.

Submitting Confidential Information to SDCERS Via Email

If you wish to submit health forms and any attachments to SDCERS through email, you may do so by emailing SDCERS at Be advised that sending private information regarding your health insurance and health treatment via email is at your own risk and SDCERS cannot guarantee the security of the information you transmit over the Internet. Once received by SDCERS, internal procedures do provide for proper security and confidentiality of all member information received.

When sending sensitive and confidential information through email, SDCERS recommends securing the information through a secure, password-protected program called WinZip. Members should provide the password for the encrypted email attachment in a separate email to SDCERS.
